"What's the point of power, anyway?"
APPEARANCE,
A young man with an average build and a pale complexion, partly due to the fact that he never sees much daylight. He has midnight blue hair with just a slight purple tint, and eyes of the same color. He doesn't generally due much with his hair, leaving it unkempt, but he keeps it at just over chin length. He's hardly the strongest man in Berk, but he is quite tall, standing at just over 6 feet. Clothes wise, he doesn't put a whole lot of thought into it, wearing whatever is available and practical.
"I do understand, I just don't care."
PERSONALITY,
► Jaded » going along somewhat with his distant nature, elliot also has a rather jaded outlook in general. he's not the type to crack a smile or show excitement, stating that nothing really matters in the end, anyway.
► Artistic » definitely having never been much of a viking, he used to do his best at his training in order to compete with his sister, but after her supposed death, he stopped trying, turning instead to writing and the arts. eventually, his parents gave up on him and just let him do whatever he pleased, even though it never granted him much status within the village, of course.
► Intuitive » he has a natural gift for reading people, and being able to see when someone is lying or putting on a mask.
► Eccentric » despite some of his other traits and his lack of combat prowess, he can actually be a somewhat intimidating figure due to his strangeness. he generally never leaves his home until everyone else is sleeping after dark, and his love of the arts and different personality make him stick out like a sore thumb in a village of vikings. he's also a great lier and is great a keepings secrets, leading others to formulate quite a few odd rumors about him. he does have a bit of a temper, too.
► Intelligent » he may not be as strong as some, but his mind is quite sharp, partially from all the reading and writing he does. he is also decently quick-witted and cunning.

"Please...just leave me alone. I'm fine, don't worry."
BACKGROUND,
He was born in Berk to an average family, with a sister, Sylvia Teague, born just one year afterwards. Close in age, the two were always very close, but also very competitive. Being their only son, his parents had always placed a lot of expectations on him, but during their combat training, it turned out that Sylvia had a lot of natural talent as a viking, where as he struggled greatly, and, unlike her, could never quite bring himself to kill. Nevertheless, not wanting his parents to be disappointed and not wanting to fall into his younger sister's shadow, he tried his best at the training.
Everything changed one day during his 12th year, though, due to a mostly innocent dare. His sister started teasing him, mocking him for being so weak and timid. He argued back, saying that he wasn't, and that he simply didn't like killing or that lifestyle. She told him then that if that was the case, he should prove that he wasn't by going with her to find a dragon at not while everyone, hopefully including the dragons themselves, were sleeping.
Reluctantly, he agreed, not able to bring himself to back down. The two of them snuck off that night, and had the luck, or perhaps lack of luck, of actually finding a dragon. Trying to perform the dare quickly, the boy tip toed up to the creature, but it was the first time he'd ever really seen one up close.
To put it simply, he panicked, finding himself unable to actually touch one. He stumbled back quickly, turning to run, but his frantic movements awoke the creature. He heard it roar, but he was too frightened to stop of look back.
It was only when he returned to the village, and was able to get his heart to stop pounding, that he realized Sylvia hadn't followed him. He told his parents that she was missing, but left out the part about the dare and that he'd awoken the dragon, stating that they'd simply sneaked out to go exploring. A search party was sent out, but she was never found, and she never came back. Eventually, much to his horror, it became assumed that she'd been killed by the dragon.
Elliot was never able forgive himself for panicking and waking it up, giving him long lasting scars that damaged his personality and left him jaded and withdrawn. He still grew up with his parents, harboring the secret that he blamed himself for his sister's death the whole time.
Once Hiccup changed the village's outlook on dragons, things only got harder for him. He doesn't truly hate them, since he blames himself more so than the dragon for what happened to his sister, but he has a terrible fear of them, and has a hard time looking at them as anything but a threat and a painful memory. Now he shows his face even less, mostly living life alone in his family's small hut. He has an odd curiosity about what life in Månen might be like, though...[/sup][/blockquote][/blockquote]
