The village which was once so noisy was silenced. Children who had played outdoors now rested indoors. Quiet and silent. Raine sighed and ran a finger through her messy hair. For once the village was quiet..and she was not enjoying it. She was bored, even more bored than she had been, sitting around and staring at the ocean. But, now, she felt even more bored. Taking a seat on the floor, Raine glared. Her eyes scanned across the village of Manen hastily. Nobody was there outside. She was all alone. Feeling like she enjoyed being around people who made noise more than alone, Raine stood up and stomped her feet like a child. She was tired.

Shade heard her before he saw her. After all, the village was quite empty. The sound of her stamping was quite loud, and echoed through the deserted place. The young man was near his house, chopping wood for a nice fire. Or, rather, resting after chopping his wood. He stood up, crossing his arms over his chest, his sarong swishing around his left leg as he began walking. He mastered the art of walking quietly, and was soon some feet away from Raine before he started to talk. "Tell me...has your presence caused the sudden silence in the village?" His voice was quiet and deep. He placed his prosthetic claw on his hip, giving a sigh and looking up. "can't say the silent village bothers me. Loud, annoying people are always running around. It ruins ones concentration, don't you think?"
