Thorn rubbed her arm trying to warmth back into the skin. Her eyes stared out at the ocean lazily; comming out here made it seem like everything was calm. In actuality it was not. Her father was constantly on her back about living up to being great like her future husband, because she wasn't already as great as him. Or so her father told her. Which she didn't believe at all, if she wanted she could beat up him and most of the young vikings on this island. The older ones? They had experience and were much more focused on what they wanted to happen.
"Idiotic people deserve what they get..." she murmered softly and leaned against the wooden pole and held her elbow. "I'm the biggest idiot of all..." she reached up and touched the leather strap around her neck before trailing her fingers down the metal chains and placing her hand over her heart. Staring straight at the ocean as if she wasn't feeling like she made the worst decision of her life. Most people thought that she was happy that she was marrying a lovely young boy. When in truth....she wanted to marry someone else. Though she would never admit it. By doing so she'd show people weakness.
Standin up she adjusted her skirt with a sigh and turned around. Staring at the rotting wood as she walked towards the village. Probably the last time till after her birthday and her marriage. It was all a big mistake. Which she wished she could wipe away everything that's been done and restart again.

Post by Hiccup Haddock on Jan 24, 2011 18:08:49 GMT -5
Hiccup and Toothless had been flying for quite awhile above the forests and mountain when the sudden blizzard had hit. The ferocious winds and sharp ice had attacked the two from all sides, Hiccup had at least a dozen painful, cold scratches searing throughout his body. His arms and legs had ossified in reaction to the cold. Despite the pain, he thought they could hold until the winds subsided. However, alarmingly, Toothless’ prosthetic tail wing was badly damaged, they had to land immediately.
With what strength they had left, they rushed at a random direction which seemed lighter than the rest, and eventually, but painfully made their way out of the harsh blizzard and into some more comforting light snow. Hiccup had no idea where they were.
From the corner of his eyes he could see a few torches and buildings “Berk!” he shouted excitedly. Without thinking (seeing as how they were desperate, they had no time to do it), they rushed to the direction of the village.
The damaged wing proved to be too much, Toothless screeched as the weight of his tail lunged forward and dragged the rest of his body down. They crashed with a thud a fair way from the village, but far enough to be out of sight.
Hiccup got up, checked both his companion and himself, then sighed in relief, “That was close…” he said. He looked back at the village and stopped, The square huts had him deeply confused, and seconds later, frightened. He heard footsteps behind, he turned timorously, It was a girl, a familiar girl. “Oh crap…”
