Despite their shallow altitude, flying only slightly above the tree line, the winter northerly winds proved to be quite cold for Hiccup and Toothless. Below them was a white ocean of fresh snow, having fallen continuously for the past few days, fragmented greenery escaping the winter carpet, and their very own moving silhouette. Hiccups riding vest did very little in protection against the cold, very much unlike his usual furry coat. With his hair messily following the wind, and despite the uncomfortable situation (which he was by now used to), Hiccup was relieved to be riding with Toothless again which he had been anticipating for well over a week. With his strategic thinking now gaining popularity amongst the warriors particularly his father, he’d been busy discussing the current ‘situation’ and hadn’t paid much attention to the dragon. Hiccups constant apologies were met by growls, eventually making them both annoyed.
Their current, over the forest glide began to bore Hiccup, “Ok Toothless, number five”, he told the dragon. Pressing his metal leg onto the paddle, the dragons red tail shifted into a more streamline position. Pulling upwards, they gained speed and vertically flew away from the trees. The wind grew crazily against the flying body, however, it only added to the excitement. After a few minutes of flying up the dragon turned its body straight back down, “Ok bud, GO!” Hiccup shouted. They dived down, a fast descent. Shifting the red tail once more, Hiccup pulled the dragon back to a horizontal position as they flew closer to the ground. The speedy downfall soon turned into another peaceful glide.
“Let’s get down now” Hiccup said as he patted the dragons neck, hoping for some ease, the only response was a slight thud as toothless’ paws hit the snow. “I haven’t eaten anything this whole day, I’m guessing you’re hungry too?” Hiccup asked, the dragon replied with a more welcoming growl. They were close to a creek and Hiccup crafted a make-shift rod from newly broken branches and a line and hook he had brought with him. Attaching a worm on the hook he flung the line into the water and sat. It soon struck him, although covered in a coat of white, he had unmistakably stumbled upon the very creek which he and toothless met. “Remember this place bud?” He asked, Toothless nudged him happily, “ahhhh you!” Hiccup smiled gently nudging his head.
The rod began to shake and Hiccup easily pulled out an Icelandic Cod, a dull grey fish, but otherwise, the dragon’s favorite. “Here you go”, He tossed it over to Toothless who ate it happily, and they were once again on good terms. About five minutes later half of the fish fell on Hiccups face, the sliminess soon carried it to his lap. “Err you have it bud, mines nearly out” He said, disgusted although grateful as the rod began to shake once again. Once again the grey fish struggled on the line. This time he rested it on a piece of fur. Standing up, the two collected dead wood and created a mound of sticks, “Toothless, you do the honors” the dragon splat a quick jolt of flames and the sticks ignited. After gutting the fish, Hiccup began to cook it over the newly built fire, but soon, with the quick jerk of his hand put it out with snow. “We forgot! The smoke, it’s important we don’t attract anyone’s attention!” He shouted. He finished his fish half raw, but of course, he was used to that.
OOC: I don't know if someone has toothless as their character so i rp'd him in this post.

Rose's fight with Boe a few days before hadn't gone completely in her favor. So much was revealed and her rage caused her to forget everything she worked for, and almost even threw it all away. The nerve! Oh, that Boe was going to pay, but how? How much? How soon?many things needed to be decided and she was just too...too beat down and tired to think about revenge. Believe it or not, she was actually quiet in a pleasnt mood for once and what's better than a walk?
Well, it was just to keep her in shape; she couldn't be lazy all day, that'd weaken herself. So it'd just be a short walk through the woods, away from those that believed she should still be at home and would often force her to obey her fathers rediclious wishes and wants. And all her father wanted was a little girl to take care of his house, while Thorn got all the attention.
She shook her head, not wanting to think of negitive things when she stepped on slick ice, sliding quickly down into a pit in the ground, her leg feeling like it was on fire from the pain. She grasped her injured leg, the one cut in yesterdays fight and groaned, the pain...well, painful. But as she looked up, she realized it wasn't the only fire in the area. Just a few yards over was...a drgon and...Hiccup! The boy from the Berk village she remembered hm.
She smiled, trying to get up, the cold of the snow already sinking through her clothes and the wounds -old and new- flaring up as she tried to move. She wimpered, but bit her lip. She didn't like actually being weak, it made her sick.

Hiccup was still laughing with his dragon, when suddenly, Toothless’ large pupil's transformed into snake-like pools. He hissed viciously at something behind the boy. Hiccup turned “Woah! He shouted as he fell a little back, shocked to see a girl slipping then getting back up on the ice. Still, she was familiar, he had met her before. Hiccup slightly moved his head towards Toothless whilst still keeping the girl in his view, “Looks like we have company, calm down but stay alert” he whispered quickly. “err, are you OK? Rose Var…. ver…. verkay?” He asked the girl “I-I didn’t expect to see anyone from your….. village here”, Don’t you all have slaying to do? He thought to himself
He realized that she was smiling, so he calmed a bit. The girl was in some sort of pain. Knowing that his little knife was close to his hand, concealed by his jacket in order to prevent any misunderstandings, he began to walk slowly to her. The dragon grew more frustrated, growling loudly and pressing one of his paws forward, Hiccup placed his hand on his forehead, calming him slightly. He couldn’t imagine why the girl was here, back when his village used to kill dragons, no-one, apart from himself stepped outside into the woods.
Her fresh wounds were evident “umm , you need any help? You look pretty badly hurt.” he asked with his uneasy and awkward smile. He whimpered a little as he too tripped on the ice, but he got himself back up and offered help again. He didn’t want to think of her as an enemy at her current state, but he couldn’t stop wondering what horrors laid waiting this face of manen.

The first thing for Rose to notice was the sounds of the dragon in the distance, the well known Toothless who saved the people of Berk. Wasn't he just a lovely dragon? Beautiful, really. If only she could have a pet Dragon like the Berks, but in her village, dragons weren't protrayed as nice as the Berks or she did. She loved dragons, actually. Their beautiful scales, their abbilty to fly, their killings. Wonderful.
Then Hiccup stood up, talking to her, and began to walk her way. All she could do was nod to the fact she was Rose. "Rose Vakre," she corrected with a kind voice, trying to remove any pain she had in her voice. She grabbed her leg, the one with the cut from Boe. That cut hadn't actually been too deep, but where it was and the fact she didn't stop fighting, it ended up tearing more and bruise the muscle around it badly. Plus the fact she now had a few more cuts to go with it made it all the worse. She also had a few cuts on her face from just now and a healing rib from yesterday. It was a wonder the girl wasn't screaming from the wounds.
She attempted to stand up once more and succed, until she slipped on the ice and falling back down, letting out another small yelp. She bit her lip and casted away her eyes before looking back up att him shyly.
"A-actually...um, a b-bit, yeah..." she said, still sitting. "But I'm fine," she said, keeping the smile, hoping it'd be convincing, but with her previous yelps, she highly doubted it. But you never know, some people could just be that stupid.
(Fail post sorrrrry~)

The strong air currents pulsed beneath Rane's powerful wings, forcing her wings to spread, keeping her hovering in place. She breathed deeply into her large lungs, enjoying the flavour of the air and the differing scents that came with it. The Nightfury could spend her whole day up in the air, flying and hunting, exploring the wilderness. As long as she avoided the villages of humans, of course. She wasn't quite ready to take on a whole village, yet at least.
Rane had spent the last week exploring this area, swimming in the lake, hunting, and simply enjoying the gentle air currents. It was a peaceful place to be, the perfect place for a lone Dragon to come if they wanted to avoid any other beings that were around, be they human or Dragon. She wasn't the most social of creatures, not trusting the humans after they killed her family, but not trusting the Dragons after a few of them sided with said humans. She was in between, not really belonging to either side. It was a slightly lonely existance, but it suited her just fine.
Rolling one joint that her wings were in, Rena felt her body sway to the side, pushing forward, and then she dived sharply. The black creature closed her yellow eyes, enjoying the feel of the wind sliding over her scales. She knew she was headed towards a lake, but also could feel the shift in the air, knowing she wouldn't crash. Rane lazily opened her eyes as she felt herself getting closer, opening them just in time to spot another Nightfury and two humans beside the lake.
Giving out a small shriek, the female dragon reopened her massive wings, feeling them straining against the sudden wind pressing upwards against her, stopping her from falling any further. She hovered for a moment before shooting sideways and towards the ground a while away from the strangers, hoping they hadn't seen her.
((Sorry about crashing, wanted to do something with Rena ))

“Oh, fine? .... well, I have some bandages in my bag anyway, lemme just get them” Hiccup said, he turned and walked to Toothless, who was by now only a few metres away. Grabbing the bandages he went over to Rose. Toothless’ snake like pools once again retained its larger , more welcoming form, curios he followed hiccup and stood next to him quite near the girl.
Hiccup took a close look at her leg, “ha, I know how you feel” he said as her showed her his prosthetic shin. He bandaged the cut, “sorry if that hurt” he said looking at all the bruises. He offered her his hand, accompanied by his uneasy smile again, maybe this time she’d be OK standing. “So what brings you to the forest?” He asked, curiously, “The people of Berk would never let anyone out here when they were scared of …..”
He stopped, suddenly hearing a loud shriek from the sky. The sound were familiar, undoubtedly belonging to a night fury. He looked up, his guess was correct, he glimpsed the large black wings of the creature which quickly disappeared in the foliage nearby. “Nightfury…” he whispered. Toothless screeched back at the dragon, wherever it was, with his snake-slits returning, he displayed his array of teeth. Although he had a strong bond with Toothless, Hiccup knew that other night-furies were dangerous.
Looking at his shirt, he once again made sure that his knife was not visible. It would be really stupid to aggravate the dragon, but despite her wounds, Hiccup was really worried that Rose would attack the creature if she had seen it. He kept an eye on her just in case, however her village had probably already seen the destructive power of the night fury.
He then rebuked that thought, If she hadn't attacked let alone shout at the sight of toothless (he wondered why), then she wouldn't do it to a wild one. All of a sudden he was actually excited to see Roses reaction to the wild Night fury.
No, your post was good! And its fine , Happy New year!

Rose watched Hiccup walk back to toothless, grabbing a handful of bandages, but her gaze remained on the dragon. Wasn't he beautiful? She'd heard stories about how bad dragons were, but, in fact, half of them she didn't believe, the others just fueled her love for dragons. They were...just amazing, no? She just watched as Hiccup came back, his dragon following behind. Then Hiccup sat down and began to bandage her leg, talking to her as he did so, so she returned with a smile.
"Oh, I'm sorry," she said, when he showed her his fake leg. She couldn't imagine what its like to have a missing limb. It must be annoying. "Tch," she said, as he put on the bandage, apoligizing. After telling him it was alright, he began to talk again. But she wasn't given a chance to respond when a screech was heard. Instantly, Rose turned to see what it was, only to see a dragon. A nightfury, to be more specfic. She felt her mouth open slightly, her eyes filled with wonder. She watched it, waiting for it to make some kind of move.
But she was impaitent.
She took the first step forward, even though it hurt, but she pushed through. For a second she forgot about hiccup and Toothless and just concentrated on the new dragon. It- wait, no, it looked more like a she, since the body type was slightly different than that of Toothless. She took a few more steps forward, not caring if Hiccup was following or...whatever else she wasn't noticing.
"Hi t-there," she said to the dragon, softly.
